Sales Tax rates are going up in the State of Utah effective April 1, 2019.
As a result of the Utah voter approved Proposition 3, the statewide sales tax rate will be raised from 4.7 to 4.85 percent.

Herschel Hugie

Herschel Hugie is a staff accountant in the tax department of the Logan Office. A native of Kaysville, Herschel earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting from Utah State University. Herschel’s primary focus is on individuals and small businesses, where he goes above and beyond to exceed his client’s needs. He also assists with third party administrative work for 401(k) and Pension Plans. In addition, Herschel specializes in new business set up, payroll taxation, and QuickBooks consultation. He is currently working towards his CPA certification. Herschel and his wife Chantry have two little boys, Gage and Colter, who keep them very busy. They enjoy spending time together outdoors camping, hiking, and fishing. Herschel enjoys being with his family, playing sports, snowmobiling, and hunting.
